Carl House Weddings: Kristen Herrick & Chris Lady

As is quite evident from previous posts, Carl House has played host to numerous weddings; witnessing a couple’s first dance, first kiss and first joy as they unite to become husband and wife. With each ceremony, we look forward to not only opening our doors, but also our hearts to the bride and grooms that enter our quaint and warm house, hoping they may do the same in return.

Kristen Herrick and Chris Lady, married March 28, 2009, did just that. The couple’s reception was not just a celebration shared by family and friends, but a merriment enjoyed by the entire Carl House team. From the enthusiasm radiating from the dance floor to the energy given off by the band properly called “Excite,” it was impossible to leave without a smile. Even the servers had an extra pep in their step as they gracefully cleared the dishes away from the ballroom so more dancing could be had.

The affection Kristen and Chris shared was a sight to behold as well. The two stole glances at one another throughout the evening and shared a tender kiss after cutting their beautiful three-tiered cake which was adorned delicately with blue ribbon and white flowers (created by Celso’s cakes). Upon leaving the reception, the pair ran through a sea of glistening sparklers which not only allowed for a beautiful exit from the night, but a beautiful entrance into their new life together.
